Why Aquasan and the product range (pp. 3–4)

Page 3 introduces Aquasan as a manufacturer that builds water tanks, booster sets and pump systems at its own plant in Malatya 1st Organized Industrial Zone, Turkey, and runs each project from site survey to installation as a single contractor. The key figures on this page are 15+ years of manufacturing experience, 10,000+ completed projects, 55+ reference countries and a 2-year product warranty.

Page 4 compares the three materials in one table. All tanks are built from standard panels bolted together on site, so the panels can be carried through narrow doorways and the tank assembled in place.

Applications listed in the catalogue: housing and residences, hospitals, schools and dormitories, public buildings, industrial facilities, agriculture and irrigation, livestock farming and construction sites.

GRP sectional tank chapter (pp. 5–13)

The GRP chapter is the most detailed part of the catalogue: nine pages of material data, design loads, components and installation rules for specifying a GRP panel tank.

  • pp. 5–6 Material: panels are made from unsaturated polyester reinforced with chopped glass fibre, cured under heat and pressure on high-tonnage presses in moulds heated to 150 °C. They are UV resistant and opaque; polyurethane foam insulation free of CFCs and HCFCs is available for very hot or very cold climates.
  • p. 7 Comparison: a scored table rating the GRP panel tank against concrete, steel, stainless steel and hand-laid GRP tanks on eight criteria, from water quality and watertightness to installation and recycling.
  • p. 8 Technical data: heights from 1.0 to 5.0 m in 0.5 m steps; tensile strength 99.5 MPa, flexural strength 165 MPa, modulus of elasticity 13,800 MPa, density 1.8 kg/dm³, water absorption 0.01%, glass fibre content 32.1%.
  • p. 9 Installation and layout: the tank sits on a steel support grid on a concrete base with 500 mm clearance to walls, columns and ceiling; rectangular, L- and U-shaped layouts and column penetrations are shown. For the assembly steps, see our sectional water tank installation guide.
  • pp. 10–11 Components and panel types: a section drawing with 15 numbered parts, from manhole cover to concrete base; wall (1,000 × 1,000 and 1,000 × 500 mm), floor, roof, manhole, drain and partition panels. In a full tank, water pressure on the convex floor panels compresses the flange joints and improves sealing.
  • p. 12 Design criteria: panels are designed for seismic coefficients Kh = 2/3 and Kv = 1/3; the tank withstands 60 m/s wind even when empty, and the roof carries a 200 kgf/m² snow load. After 48 hours full, side wall deflection stays within 1% of the total height. Water temperature is normally below 30 °C, with a maximum of 50 °C. Joints are sealed with PVC foam tape.
  • p. 13 Skid and connections: hot-dip galvanized skid profiles by tank height, inlet, outlet, overflow and drain sizes by capacity (e.g. DN 50 inlet and DN 65 outlet for 21–50 m³), and a partitioned tank example that holds drinking and fire water in one tank.

For selection advice, see the GRP water tank page; for what GRP is and how the panels are made, see What is a GRP water tank?

Stainless steel and galvanized tank chapter (pp. 14–16)

The steel chapter covers pressed steel panel tanks with 1,080 × 1,080 mm panels in AISI 304 / 316 L stainless steel or ST 37 hot-dip galvanized steel, cold-formed on high-pressure presses; individual panels can be replaced when needed.

  • p. 15 Layout perspectives: isometric drawings of 18 standard configurations from 1.26 to 90 m³, each with width × length × height in cm; for example, a 10 m³ tank measures 216 × 216 × 216 cm. Intermediate sizes and custom capacities are built to project requirements. Size chart and gross volumes: sectional water tank sizes.
  • p. 16 Technical data: heights from 540 to 4,320 mm in 540 mm steps, and at least 50 cm clearance to walls, columns and ceiling.

Product details are on the stainless steel water tank and galvanized water tank pages.

Production, service, references and documents (pp. 17–22)

The closing chapters explain who makes and installs the tanks and where they have been used.

  • p. 17 Production and quality: besides water tanks, the Malatya plant produces pumps, water booster sets, fire booster sets and fire hose cabinets; panel and joint details are designed in SolidWorks.
  • p. 18 Installation and service: tanks are assembled and tested on site by expert teams; panels, gaskets and fasteners are supplied from stock; periodic maintenance covers cleaning, disinfection and inspection.
  • pp. 19–20 References: international projects such as Ahal City in Ashgabat and Dr. Dakheel Hospital in Erbil, eight projects for TOKI (Turkey's Housing Development Administration), and public buildings such as universities, a state hospital and Ağrı Airport. See the Projects page for more.
  • p. 21 Certificates: images of the documents included in the catalogue. For our documents, see the Certificates page, and state any approval your project requires in your quote request.
  • p. 22 Package solutions: water booster sets and pump systems, fire booster sets and fire hose cabinets, and membrane pressure tanks, supplied with the tank in one project with one point of contact.

English, Turkish and Arabic editions

The English, Turkish and Arabic editions each have 24 pages with the same contents list and page numbering, so every page reference on this page points to the same page in all three. The English and Turkish covers name GRP as “GRP / CTP”, the Arabic cover as “GRP / FRP”. The English edition uses British spelling (e.g. “galvanised”, “fibre”), and the Turkish edition calls stainless steel tanks “paslanmaz krom”. For an Arabic introduction, see the Arabic page.

Information needed for a quotation (p. 23)

Page 23 lists the eight details needed to size the tank, plan the layout and prepare a price for your project:

  1. Capacity: required water volume (m³).
  2. Tank type: GRP, galvanized or stainless steel.
  3. Installation area: width, length and ceiling height of the area.
  4. Access width: size of the door or opening the panels will pass through.
  5. Location: indoors, rooftop or outdoors.
  6. Purpose: drinking, fire, utility or process water.
  7. Thermal insulation: required for very hot or very cold regions?
  8. Delivery: project address and required delivery date.

For a rough capacity estimate, multiply width × length × height in metres; 1 m³ of water weighs about 1 tonne. For example, the 2 × 4 × 2 m partitioned tank on p. 13 holds 16 tonnes. To work out the volume your building needs, see our water tank sizing guide; for what drives the cost, see our sectional water tank price guide. You can send these details through the quote request form.
